Hello, HBBC Family!  Thank you for all of your prayers and well-wishes during this past week.  I am back in the office today.  I’m still sore but feeling much better than yesterday.  The healing continues.

A BIG Thank You to John Walker for his fine  preaching last Sunday.  I truly appreciate his willingness to step in at the last minute.  John gave us some excellent insights on prayer that we all need to take to heart and apply in our lives.  Thanks again.

On Sunday, we will resume our study of Romans and celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.  We will be looking at Romans 3:21-31 in a message called, "The Only Way to Be Right With God."  Let me encourage you to re-read Romans 1:18-3:20 in preparation for this important message about the wonders of God's salvation.

“See” you on Sunday !

Pastor Jim

How ShAll We LiVE THaNkfully?

"But they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

Sometimes life throws us a curve. We find ourselves facing situations that bring us the unexpected and fear of the unknown. We want peace, we want a sense of control and assurance of the future. But all we can know for sure is that what we do have is what is right in front of us - right now.

So what is the key?

"They who WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength." We must learn to Hope in Him, Trust in Him, Lean on Him and Rely on Him. He goes before us and behind us, today, and gives us strength to face it. Then and only then can we gain a proper perspective and live thankfully.

So, as we trust in Him let us also WaiT oN HiM...

Thank you Lord for all that you are and all that you have done for me. You are my God, My Rescuer. My Lord and Savior who has taken me out of the pit of sin and into the light of your Hope and a forever life with you. As I WAiT oN YoU let my love for you impower me to do the impossible. Sometimes the impossible happens when I face life with you right by my side. As I serve you may I become your instrument in this world of ours to fulfill your Kingdom purposes - Amen.
